This Round (a little over 3 ft) is an authentic Namdha Rug sourced all the way from Kashmir, the land that known to have invented them.
The rug is a strike contrast to the popular rugs and carpets available in the western markets today. Unlike traditional or machine made weaves, these rugs are handcrafted by felting and compressing the quality wool found in the valleys of Kashmir which makes it extremely unique and different to other options. It has then been machine embroidered to produce a striking yet subtle blue-grey leaf vine design quite aligned to the nature inpired motifs popularly used in the area.
This craft has been practiced at least since the 14th century if not before. This rug entirely and purely of wool which makes it very good for insulation. A unique addition for homes that enjoy subtle and meaningful additions to their decor.
